  • Fuck the Heat

Fundamentals and defense trump youth and talent, at least in games 1 and 3.
Heat really don't have a point guard. Could the NBA be getting back to basketball roots of unselfish play at the offensive end and good old fashioned team defense?

    Very entertaining series thus far.

It never really went out of style

The Spurs have quietly built a team that could compete in any "Era". I for one have not watched any basket ball since last season. The Sixer's have taken all the joy away from watching the NBA.
The Documentary on Dr. J, was the best basketball I watched in years, It gave me chills: but this super group teams and get 3 stars together to win it all sucks. Not a fan of LBJ or the heat I dislike everything about them.

I hope the Spurs win in 6, like Mr. Barkley said...

Popovich made some comments recently on how he built his team. He said that he likes to have foreign born basketball players on his roster because they work harder and have a better understanding on team concept. They aren't coddled like american players.
500 internet fights, that's the number I figured when I first joined igglephans. 500 internet fights and you could consider yourself a legitimate internet-tough guy. You need them for experience, to develop leather skin. So I got started. Of course along the way you stop thinking about being tough and all that. It stops being the point. You get past the silliness of it all. But then...after...you realize that's what you are.

The kid is fantastic. Reminds me of Pippen his first two years. Defense, rebounding machine, and can knock down a jumper from any distance.

                  Who would you rather have?

                  Lebron or Tim Duncan?

It still sucks that the Sixers got the number one overall pick the wrong year.

So you know how I hate the NBA, however the Spurs have sucked me in. They ACTUALLY play BASKETBALL and look good while doing it.

Was at Game 5 of the first series, picking up my tickets shortly for Game 5 on Sunday!

Be nice if they can win tomorrow and close em up at home on Sunday!

Born a spurs fan. The Iceman George Gervin was my Godfather. My father and him use to be running partners.

True. The current american basketball player has been told that he's the best thing in the world since he hit his first jumper. He'll make millions, he'll have a nike contract etc. No sacrifice for the team.
