They waited until The Cup Finals were over at least

That whole Bobrovsky thing put them over the edge.

Unfortunately there is no accountability in Flyer land. Ed Snider will continue to praise his GM who trades good talent for mediocre talent and the stepford fans will re live their glory of teh 70's and noting will change. Another 5 ex Flyers (Myers, Carsillo, Sharp, Emory, and Handzeus) now have a Cup while Ed is at 39 years and counting.

$1.64 million per year over the next 14 years

Unreal. Imagine that? All because people watch this gay ballet on ice with little wooden boards in their hands pushing a rubber disc around. The money in professional sports is insane.

They'll be paying him until 2027 not to be in Philly. Not that I give a shit because its not my money, but this is just another example of the ridiculousness of the Flyers brass. They won't spend this new found money wisely either. I'm sure they'll overpay for another 35 year-old defenseman, and bring in another sieve for goal.

I'm convinced Snider had a bad LSD trip in the 70s that he never returned from

It could be worse - you don't see any wind turbines on the Wells Fargo Center, amiright?

I'm in Delaware and I saw those things for the first time driving down 95.

I thought they were decorative streamers at first.

I bet they must light up at least 3 ... maybe 4 bulbs.

The stats are electrifying: On a recent sunny day, this bulky unit churned out 21,033.7 kilowatt hours, nearly enough to power two average homes for a year.

Yes, the long-awaited solar panels and wind turbines at Lincoln Financial Field are up and running.

More than 11,000 panels have been positioned atop the roof, over some of the parking spots, and armoring the side of the building along I-95.

                    Those are the workhorses.

The eye candy is the 14 wind turbines atop the ends of the stadium - meant to distract visiting kickers, one official joked.

That's good news for Allen Hershkowitz, a senior scientist with the Natural Resources Defense Council who has coordinated greening efforts for major-league sports teams.

He has been pushing for pro sports to green up their act for years because they are so influential. "Thirteen percent of Americans follow science," he said. "Sixty-one percent of Americans follow sports. If you want to change the world, you have to go where the people are."

The Eagles, he noted, were the first professional sports team in the nation to start down the green path, beginning with blue paper-recycling buckets that went under every desk.

Then came the public service announcements and the advertising. By now, the Eagles are recycling 99.8 percent of their waste. They are converting used fryer oil from the concession stands to biodiesel and are using it in their equipment. They are composting food waste.

"They still represent the gold standard in stadium greening," Hershkowitz said.

The wind turbines are a thing of genius (For Lurie anyway). He gets a $60 million credit over 30 years for electric he will sell back.

It has to me more than those goofy looking turbines.

By the way, I'm sending them a letter ... I want a discount on my season tickets for the wind I generate when driving by.

You mean a letter saying "you're welcome" for assisting you to mitigate the carbon footprint your car creates wouldn't suffice?
