  • Can you guys help with an argument?

I'm from the Bills fan board Two Bills Drive. One of the never-ending debates we have on our forum is over Jason Peters.

Some feel the Bills screwed the pooch trading away the best LT in the NFL. Others feel he's an unmotivated load who only cares about what he's being paid.

So I thought it would be helpful to get some input from Eagles fans. Tell us how you feel the Jason Peters trade worked for you? Was he worth acquiring him and paying his large contract? Do you feel he makes the Eagles better?

Thanks for your input. If you ever want to visit us come to www.twobillsdrive.com.

See last season's running statistics compared to 2011's as a partial assessment of his value to the team. He's a monster and hasn't had any work ethic issues that I know of.

I'd rather have his big ass at LT than not...

Heard he's looking at driving NASCAR after football...

...he was healthy, he was playing at a RIDICULOUSLY high level. OMG. He was the brightest star on the team. The guy was literally MOWING people down. Then he gets hurt and once AGAIN my heart gets ripped out. FN team is cursed.

                  He's a monster

If Fisher, Joeckel or Johnson reach their full potential they will be as good as Peters.

Best move they could have made with that extra first round pick. A buddy I lived with in NY works on a site called Buffalo Wins, and he was ALL OVER that lazy angle when the trade was made. He's since eaten his words.

There's really no one I'd rather have at LT than Peters. He's an absolute beast.

Obviously you guys are pretty high on Peters. I don't follow the Eagles closely but I read something about him skipping work outs. Is this correct? Is Peters AWOL or is he excused from attending because he's still recovering?

That trade worked out in our favor big time....they would've drafted some Bust, Chump or Jagoff with that first rounder anyway.

Veterans cannot skip voluntary workouts, considering they're, you know, voluntary.

As others have said, Peters is an absolute beast. Easily top three in the NFL. I think he was, bar none, the best in the league in 2011. Ask Demarcus Ware. Peters turned him into a 7th round rookie when playing against the Eagles. Plus the guy is running 20 yards down field and crushing safeties on some plays.

The Bills screwed the pooch trading that guy. For which we are greatly appreciative. Time will tell if he gets back to where he was. No reason he can't.

That's why I asked the question. I didn't know if JP missed a voluntary OTA or mandatory mini-camp. Also, aren't the Eagles, like the Bills, allowed more mandatory workouts because of a new head coach? You'd think every player would want to be there, voluntary or not.

Again, it's obvious you guys love Peters so I think I have my answer.
