yeah, hopefully the picks are better than I think they will be (very likely) but they are blowing it up so whatever. Might as well stockpile picks...

      yup. High risk, questionable reward...

I'll defer to your bb knowledge IG, but Holiday wasn't going to take the sixers to the promised land any time soon. And I guess it was either Bynum's bum knee or Noel's

They just extended him with a pretty reasonable deal, he wasn't leaving any time soon... He was only 19 when he came into the NBA so he's still rookie-young! Damn... Giving up an up and coming star, not superstar but star, for a guy with no offensive game who already has injury problems.

That was my initial reaction, but this team isn't going anywhere and jrue, as much as I like him, isn't going to win you a title. So they decided to blow it up. They'll have 4 lottery picks in 2 years AND cap room. They will either rebuild and make the team exciting or mess it up and doom them for the forseeable future. Given the state of the team I can't hate the gameplan (getting the first changed things for me). Its the execution I'm concerned about.

They moved on from Jrue before we got stuck in another Iggy situation.

I loved Jrue, but he wasn't an elite player. They very well could get one to four players out of the next two drafts as good as Jrue's ceiling with the potential to get actually superstars.

Apparently the pick is (1-5) protected. The problem is, I don't think the Hornets (Pelicans) are bad enough to finish that close to the bottom. We'll have to see I guess...

That pretty much sums up this year's team. They may suck for a long time but at least they're rolling the dice. This draft and next draft will determine the future.

Are you nuts? Sixers get 2 first rounders in one of the best drafts of the last 20 years.

Just pray New Orleans pick isn't top 3 next year.

                        Eff Holliday. MCW!!

First Jeff Ruland, Then Bynum, Now This Guy...

Three big men, three china cup knees -- what's wrong with this picture?

Hell, what's wrong with this franchise? Will they EVER get another big man who has both talent AND two healthy knees?

If Isser the Pisser now chimes in that he hates the deal....

then that seals it. Noel will be a stud.

I believe it is 1-3 protected
