Nice call on Junip, guy in france. Haven't heard their newest album but I loved the last one.

Kurt Vile's latest album is awesome. Great releases this year from Yo La Tengo and My Bloody Valentine(even though those aren't new bands). Akron/Family also has a really good album that came out a couple months ago.

Favorite "new" band is jeff the brotherhood. Their album last year was good(sixpack is a badass single), as were their two previous albums. They also have a split 7" of hole covers.

I should clarify... U chartered a riverboat on the Gowanus? That would be uber hipster. Please tell me this is all farcical.

Not listening to music because they lack cred

is hipster. Music is personal. Music is supposed to be fun. Listen to what you like and enjoy it. Fuck music critics. To paraphrase a saying: Those that can play, do. Those that can't become critics.
John Erlichman, one of President Richard Nixon's closest aides, has admitted America's "War on Drugs" was a hoax designed to vilify and disrupt "the antiwar left and black people" when it was launched in 1971.

Calling someone a hipster in this thread naming some of the hipstery-ish bands currently on the planet is sort of über ironic. And yes, I know what I just did there.

              I agree.

But you gotta appreciate what Akers did here.

Chartering a riverboat on the Gowanus is epic!

I was locked in on the case of Redd's Apple Ale. Reminds me of when Riccardo got a keg of Zima.

Ricc has a stockpile of ammo, George Michael cds, and Zima just in case World War Z breaks out.
500 internet fights, that's the number I figured when I first joined igglephans. 500 internet fights and you could consider yourself a legitimate internet-tough guy. You need them for experience, to develop leather skin. So I got started. Of course along the way you stop thinking about being tough and all that. It stops being the point. You get past the silliness of it all. But then...after...you realize that's what you are.
