Is considering easing the electronics restrictions during takeoff/landing for all domestic flights.

I think IE is right though, while the electronic interference may not the problem, its the distractions that these devices cause during the most critical times of the trip.

I find it refreshing that there is still at least one public place where people are forced to put their devices down for an extended period of time. I don't want the FAA to overturn this.

I'd like to see restrictions extended to other public spaces.

I know one thing is a certainty

When they make this incident into an episode on Air Craft Investigation the actor on the right will play the role as Captain. He's already played the Captain on Bad Attitude S11 EP07 Korean Air Cargo Flight 8509 and S0EP02 the Target is destroyed.

We flew USA1000 out of AC to spring training in 09. When we boarded we were seated behind the exit row that was occupied by a 4' tall 90 year old woman, her frail 75 yo son and obese daughter. I think the Emergency door weighed more than the old bag sitting next to it. Flight crew would not move them either. We all would have died climbing over her carcas in a crash

Southwest actually has a good policy on this. If you meet the requirements to pre board a flight because you are traveling with infants or you are physically impaired in someway or you are an older individual who may require more time getting to your seat you cannot sit in an exit row. All airlines should have this policy.

I feel guilty laughing at that.

Same here. It's tragic, but the stupidity of that report is hilarious.
