it was 1964 and the Phils were riding high atop the NL standings (no divisions back then) and Jim Bunning pitched a perfect game, also at Shea Stadium, on Father's Day.
The NL had Koufax, Clemente, Aaron, Mays, Cepeda, among other HOFers, but it was the Phils' Johnny Callison who won it in walk-off fashion with a bomb to right field.
Of course we all know how that year ended.
