British Open doesn't setup well for Mickelson. He shot a solid round yesterday but as soon as the conditions get tough, and they will, he will continue to play agressive and that never works there. As for Woods, he just can't play the way he used to. Those incredible shots and putts just don't happen like they used to. Can't see either of these guys winning on the weekend. Hope not anyways, didn't take them in my pool.
Canada is like a really nice apartment over a meth lab.
So Mickleson talking about how he can't fly the ball to the hole, can't use his wedges to spin it, and that he has to play angles and run it up in links golf was just him trying to misdirect the public and he's going to be "aggressive" anyway?
And him playing that way to win the Scottish Open proves that he can't do it?
Although ironically he played aggressively with his approach shot and spun a wedge to win the playoff hole.
I'm not saying he's going to win, but he's not playing Phil the Thrill golf ... in fact, he doesn't have a driver in his bag this week.

Yeah he won the Scottish Open, but historically he has not played well over there. If he was to get the lead I would say that he might be able to play more conservatively and do well. If he is chasing the lead I think the outcome will be the usual for him.

We're pulling for Coastal Carolina University's own Dustin Johnson. No reason he can't win if he holds it together mentally. He's got the game for Scottish links golf.
I like Dustin ... have since he got fucked at the PGA with that bunker bullshit.
I spoke to him for a minute at the Barkley's last year when he stopped to sign for a few people on the way to his practice round ... he's bigger than I thought he was.
Obscenity is the last refuge of an inarticulate motherfucker.

Funny at the US Open we were surprised how small most of these golfers were - other than Ernie Ells who looked like a big goon. Best gallery comment was when Jason Dufner was on the green. Someone behind us says with great surprise: "He's got two chins!" Bwaaa!
I didn't want to write it because I didn't want to jinx him, but I was going to post earlier that the problem for Mickleson would be his putter (which has been shitty for a while) and he just 4-putted a par 3 to go from 1 under to 1 over.
If he doesn't figure out the speed here he's done.

all day until those latter holes. Everyone was 3 putting 15.Just like the day before, those who teed off earlier, had an easier go of it. Those that left after 9. Average score was 76.5. Shouldn't be that much of an advantage among the leaders tomorrow. I like the fact that I'll wake up tomorrow and a major will be on.
