but he's still gonna have a hell of a time looking his Black teammates in the eye, in my opinion.
I think that depends on the dynamic of the team and their knowledge of him. He played at Florida and is in the NFL - he's not new to playing with black teammates and there's a good chance this isn't the first time he's used that vocabulary.
Regardless, there are a lot of assholes in a locker room - if he plays well that's mostly what will matter to his teammates.
The distraction due to the media, NFL and fans seeing this will be worse.
