  • Amaro Traded No One

Not even Michael Young. If this doesn't prove the guy is way in over his head I don't know what else will. Fucking ludicrous!

There better be some waiver wire deals...is anybody even showing up at home games anymore? Pathetic.

Now that "all in!" posturing from a month ago makes a lot more sense

He knew no one would going to trade for any of these guys. This team might be in trouble for a long time.

Charlie says theyre going to test Asche in the OF. He's never played there before. What a joke.

Well he has half a year to practice before the run for the pennant in '14.

Yeah but they can't trade Michael Young or Carlos Ruiz now to any specific team because they will not clear waivers with their contracts expiring.

Why not put him at first and Ruf in the OF?

Ed Wade would have made trades... too bad it would have been Ruf and Asche.

Charlie will be fired and the scapegoat

Once Sandberg steps in it will be a repeated cycle.

Yeah its Ludacris not to trade those 2 for anything you can get at all...now they get nothing out of them...I could see Papelbon or Lee clearing but its a longshot finding a partner still.

You can't trade anyone if you make outlandish demands--everyone bitched about the lack of prospects he got back in the first Lee deal, so he wanted the Sox to give up their best IF prospect, their second best pitching prospect AND pay all of Lee's salary.

What kind of return did you expect Michael Young to bring??? Maybe a real low level A baller, but that would have been it.

Chooch--he hasn't been the same since his Adderall suspension.

They want to keep Utley for the simple reason that no one would have traded for him unless he signed a long term extension with his new team and there is no one on next year's open market who can play 2nd with his kind of power. Unless you guys want to see a nearly AAA team in Philly next year while they rebuild.
