Edit-- I misunderstood and am wrong as a result. I thought it was a delivery. Take out I will rarely tip for but I have done so on occasion around the holidays or if I know the person or if they are extra nice.--------

I don't see the need to automatically tip somebody at a take out place... although this does touch on the question of whether the minimum wage should be increased for workers at these sorts of places.--------

Yeah but if you're drew brees and you're going to bother to tip, you can't be leaving three bucks.Blue Chip College Football - Coach Your College to the National Championship

Like at McDonald's they are probably making minimum wage. Other non corporate type places, IDK. If I knew somebody was making the majority of their income off of tips, I would tip them. I've tipped people at McDonald's before and they have always been flummoxed so I don't do it anymore.--------

Corporate places will sometimes forbid you from accepting tips.
