My first though was to get rid of the guy. He represents the organization, and he's a liability to the Eagles. What if we had Payton Manning or RGIII on the team and they did this though? Would they get a second chance because their more valuable?

Yes, because they are worth the public backlash. This is a cost benefit analysis. There is a reason Emmit Smith was allowed to sleep in meetings, Iverson was allowed not to practice, etc etc. The upside is enough to warrant a bad pr move. This upside is non existent with Cooper. -
