    Actually, Cooper is a real good special teams player and his blocking ability at WR probably has added value in Chip's system. He's the first guy stepping in behind the two starters.

    I get your, point that he's not a superstar, but he's not a 5th WR scrub on the current team.

          Yeah, same could be said about Lane Johnson.

          ...and if we're are talking about 99.9% of the football fans, the majority of them never heard of Jason Peters.

          To the larger point, I think this topic is more about treating any player in a situation like this, or similar, in fair and consistant manner.
