The dumb move was not trading utley. Dude his playing his best baseball since 09 and a contender would've gladly rented him. At least ruben didn't let him hit free agency, which would've forced the second biggest lifetime achievement contract in phillies history.Comment

I dunno. Maybe this is what he has learned from Gillick. After enjoying success with multiple franchises, such as Toronto, Seattle and Baltimore, Gillick's teams got very old and very fast.
