Until They Get A Real, Live Dominating Center...

...somebody who can do what Wilt and Moses did for those Sixers' teams, it doesn't matter WHO they hire as head coach.

Yeah, if only they'd draft a young and talented big man for the middle...

As Of This Moment He's No Better Than...

...any of the countless 7-foot losers this franchise has had since Moses Malone was traded for The First Cripple.

Unlike Kool-Aid drinkers like you, I prefer to wait until this allegedly dominating center actually plays a dozen or so NBA games, before I annoint him as the answer to three decades of futility in the middle.

Until they get a Hall of Fame big man they're not going anywhere. That's your in-depth analysis?

Any other keys to the game, John?

The needing a dominant Big Man or Center days are over with

The last few NBA champions didn't have a HOF type Center. Shaq was the last one to exist in this era. It seems that you need a top notch talented 1-2 punch along with some decent role players like how Jordan Bulls were in the 90s'

Does the Miami Heat even have a Center? Oklahoma, San Antonio, Boston, even LA the most recent yrs didn't have some dominating Center. Gasol was decent though.

All those teams won the Finals since Shaq left. Plus Howard is a joke

Agree, Noel, add a forward Wiggns Randle or Parker with the lottery pick they get for tanking. Key here is develop and tank at the same time. Brown is a good player development guy.

Then with the second 1st round pick either of these three three shooting guards, Hezonia barcelona, Young, Kentucky, or Seldon Kansas -- you have maybe three potential stars, add the kid from Iowa State Royce White in the mix and if MCW finds his jumpshot ( which was considered best of guards his recruiting class) This could be the beginning of a very exciting team to watch.

my wish is Wiggins SF , Noel C, Young Kentucky sg, MCW pg and White PF are what we end up with -- This could be the start of something great - Young PF i see staying - I see Turner going after he gets the ball and puts up numbers this season of TANKING. I could care less who goes other than the those they got this draft and maybe Young.

Then you get your dollars down and add that key piece or two to be a championship team.

He Doesn't Have To Be A Hall Of Famer

He just has to be a big man who can rebound, block shots and intimidate opposing players so the idea of entering the paint to challenge him always makes them think twice.

If said big man can score 10 or 12 points a game, great -- more than that, fantastic -- just so he limits the other team's chances of scoring and keeps his team's chances alive by glomming onto the ball like it was his personal play thing.

First you said they need a C like Moses or Wilt and then you say he doesn't have to be a Hall of Famer. I don't know, maybe don't use two Hall of Famers as your examples.

Style Of Play, Dipwad, Not Caliber

They don't need a big scorer -- they need a rebounding/shot blocking intimadator. You may have missed the part about 10 or 12 points a game. Read it again!

                            Typical KG backpedal.

One thing you've proven for sure in any basketball thread you've bull-in-a-China-shop'd your way into is that you know absolutely nothing about the current state of basketball. Just stop posting.

KG is going HAM again. "Dipwad"...he ran up in this piece and dropped a "Dipwad".

                              HAM Green.
500 internet fights, that's the number I figured when I first joined igglephans. 500 internet fights and you could consider yourself a legitimate internet-tough guy. You need them for experience, to develop leather skin. So I got started. Of course along the way you stop thinking about being tough and all that. It stops being the point. You get past the silliness of it all. But then...after...you realize that's what you are.
