The two minute drill concept is actually pretty smart. The Eagles have been opening drives running the offense at a normal tempo. After each play they shuffle in three, four, five players. they keep doing this, at a normal pace until they get the matchup they want. At that point they rush the plays with the same formation until they get into the end zone. This makes it extremely difficult for the defense to change their personnel.
