Not taking away with what he brought us in terms of presiding over the greatest era of Phils beisbol ever. Classless the way it was handled, IMO. But he did have to go.

The Phillies usually handle themselves with class, but they came up short today. He had to go, but he deserved to finish the season.

It only made sense to fire him in-season if there was a chance the change would have potentially allowed a move back into contention. Absolutely no gain doing it now, IMO.
