You don't trade your second best QB. Barkley looks far from ready for the NFL.

The takeaway for me from the QB competition is how well Foles played. Vick was better, but Foles held his own. If Vick goes down, the offense can still move with Foles. Barkley, not so much. Too much of a noodle arm.

Dennis Dixon is the intrigue here. Right now he's a better choice for #3 over Barkley, but that's not gonna happen.

Vick won because he's the "defending champ" but Foles can run this thing.

Vick is also the better athlete and brings the long ball in more than Foles, which makes Jackson more dangerous and helps the run game because they have to back off.

But given this defense, Foles' more methodical style may actually, as I said before, be better in keeping the defense off the field.

But Vick, if he isn't teasing us again about playing NFL quarterback and not schoolyard dumbfuck, does make the offense more explosive.

If this offense puts up points, Foles should get some garbage time play where he'll really get to finish teams off with his game. By the time Chip drafts his QB, there should be plenty of tape on Foles to start shopping him.
