Kolb must show a lot in practices and workouts. How else has he gotten starters money from 3 teams now?

Actually seeing tweets that this is indeed true

and the Bills are concerned this concussion is a career-ender. Whatever that means for Klob who never had much of a career to start with.

euthansia. do they save any cap space if he's done?

andy reid had his eyes on kolb for years.

I consider that pick to be one of Andy's Hall of Fame we're smarter than everyone else picks. Kolb wasn't rated that high on any other teams board. Before the draft he was projected to go in the 3rd or 4th round and he was rated 6th at his position. Andy took him in the 2nd round, 36th pick overall. CRAZY.

I really don't see how the Klob pick set this franchise back. He rode the bench for 3 years, lost his job to Vick in 2010, and was ultimately traded for more than what he originally cost. I understand that they could've drafted a better QB and never gotten themselves into their current situation, but I'm not sure what awesome QB was available in the 2nd round of the 07 draft.

He was a panic pick by Reid just like McDougle was after Douglas left to go to Jax. Reid wondered when the next McNabb injury was going to occur--between 2002 and 2006, McNabb, at the time only had one healthy season--2004. Broken fibula in 02, bruised finger on his throwing hand in 03, surgery in 05 and an ACL tear in 06. Kolb was the best of a bad bunch since I don't think any other QB in that draft is even still in the league.

i disagree that kolb was a panic pick. reid had months to prepare and he liked kevin kolb. before the draft hugh douglas was saying that the eagles would go QB, either kevin kolb or troy smith as early as round 2. reid knew what he wanted to do. the jerome mcdougle pick was in line with the reggie brown and mike patterson picks, when the eagles are obviously trying to replace a player. but that's kind of the point of the draft.

The eagles got Kendrick's or Curry for Kolb. Either way, they recouped their value by trading him. Not a total fuck up.

Depends on your perspective. The Eagles also got DRC in the Kolb trade. As a result of getting DRC (and Nnamdi), the Eagles deemed their best cornerback, Samuel, expendable and traded him for next to nothing. DRC stunk up the place for two years before hitting the bricks. In my mind, Kolb for (Curry - Samuel) is a negative return.
