Not to mention all of the time spent attempting to develop Klob into what he would never be as well as the roster spot he took up preventing the Eagles from developing a different QB, etc.

You'd like to get at lest a solid player with a late first round pick. The Eagles got none of that with the whole Klob disaster.

When you look at what they were able to trade him for, it wasn't a bad pick. Sure they fucked up everything in every aspect of what they got for him, but let's see what DRC does on a better team.

Not to mention spooking the already insecure McNabb by not telling him this was coming, not to mention the Eagles figured they could get Kolb in the second round so that they didn't need a first rounder, so Joe and Andy traded theirs to the Dallas Cowboys (Anthony Spencer) for the picks that resulted in Kolb, Stewbum Bradley, and C.J. Gaddis.

So at the end of the day, six years after Andy Reid traded out of the first round and drafted his hand picked replacement for Donovan McNabb, what the Eagles have to show for it is Vinny Curry. I don't see how this can be viewed as anything but a major setback for the organization. The attempts to put a silver lining on the Kolb episode are valiant but, listen to yourselves for goodness sakes. The Eagles got Curry? DRC sucked in Philadelphia but he might be good elsewhere?

It shows you more that it wasn't the players, but it was the people calling the shots.

Ozzie Newsome wouldn't have done that.

Of course. I have no personal animus toward Kolb. I was one of his last defenders here.
