  • How many bad seasons could Kelly blame on Reid?

    Hypothetically. If they suck.

      Two

In this day and age of free agency, he should have all of his own guys after next season. 3 seasons to show vast improvement

Two, but it depends on what's bad.

You and I both know the first year is a gimme. I think most teams now expect winning fairly quickly though. Kelly's got a free pass this year.

the next season is tough. If he shows improvement (like 7-9, 8-8, etc), then he probably gets another few years (Whisenhut in AZ is a prime example of surviving off minimal success). If Kelly strings together 3 straight seasons in the crapper, he should be fired.

Two if the offense improves next season, it being a given that it's going to take more than two seasons to fix the wreckage done to the defense. One if the offense isn't playing Chip Ball next year.

Even after this year a lot of people are going to come down hard on him and his offense especially. I think the media has done more to over-hype it than anyone within the team or organization have...

One for sure, but not more than two thanks to free agency.

Three years he should be winning the division hands down, two more drafts and some much needed defensive talent should put us up with the big boys of the conference.

                  Depends on the trajectory.

This year is a given, and the baseline. He's got to show major improvement each year from that baseline. If he regresses or shows no improvement after two years he should be gone.
