Hey, Chippy could have turned the whole roster over. How many players did he keep from last season. If more than half, you gotta figure he likes Reid's talent evaluation. It's not like this is going to be a Super Bowl season.

Or that Christie Mathews is going to be the difference maker on special teams.
    How's that?

Definitely. Ideally, he'd field a team with 15 guys on it. Not one crab fry, not one Reid guy.

Very impressive that's a great start. When you're a new coach inheriting a 4-12 team the first thing you do is turnover the roster. Pete Carroll did it in three years. It worked.

Do the Eagles need 18 Oregon Ducks? Guess Chip thinks so.
seeking post. If you actually believe that an NFL can have 100% roster overhaul in one season you have no clue.
          You think its a joke!?!

Is that a joke? I honestly can't tell if you really expected a greater than 50% overhaul or not. Didn't cut half the guys on the team? Fuck it, he loves Reid!

Still the worst poster on this forum. Chip worshipers, classic, perhaps a page out of tta's playbook.

They tried to replace Allen this year with Kenny Phillips and it was a decent gamble. He's just shot. There were some other options available like Goldson of the 49ers (signed with Bucs) Quin from the Texans (signed with Lions).

I'm disappointed they didn't go after Quinten Mikell who didn't sign with anybody until yesterday. Even at 32 he's better than Allen in my opinion.

There were players out there to be had in the offseason that could have upgraded the safety spot, so I have to agree with Maniac on this one. I suppose we should be happy they got Chung. He's definitely an upgrade over Coleman, but somehow Coleman is still on the team. headscratcher.

I am on record as liking Chip but I totally agree, both of those stiffs should have been gone.

I don't like Vick but IMO he is the best option at QB. I'd like to see a few wins this year.

Well, when the majority of the roster can be considered to consist of numerous B's, C's and J's - he's going to have to keep some of them.

Start with about 60 players between the PS and the active roster, turn 17-20 of them per year and in 3 years ya got a brand new team

Recently one of the better GM's in the league turned over his roster in 3 years and won a Super Bowl in the 4th year - so that's probably a good baseline for how long it might take

Most of the SB winning coaches did so in their 3-6th years with a team, so that too should be a fair baseline for looking at a new regime.

I don't think the resident douchebags can keep it up that long without some Viagra, so I hope they'll ccpeter out over time.
