Until last night. My alma mater crushed a local school 90-21--it was 76-14 at the half and they finished their scoring with 4.50 left in the 3rd quarter. They scored 5 times in a 6 play span in the first quarter--an 8 yard run, an 89 yard run, a 35 yard INT return, and two other turnovers that were returned for TDs. They also finished their scoring while playing with a running clock in the 2nd half. So they scored 40 points last week in winnng against a neighboring powerhouse (who scored 49 in their game last night) and 90 last night. Unbelievable--as was the opposing coach last night, who didn't accuse my school of running up the score. That was far different than their basketball coach did last year after my alma mater beat them 100-10.
