    4th in the NFL overall

It's not close either, we're the highest paid offense by far. How is that even possible? The only elite player we've got is Mccoy. Maybe Peters if he comes back to form.

That 38.5 million on the Seattle defense is about to change.

Because the Eagles are cheap. Just ask Two Gap and Iron Eagle.

Since you called me out, I would say they are more penny wise and pound foolish... laughing all the way to the bank like Twatkins did.

They do spend money, but they waste a lot of it... and Lurie is laughing all the way to the bank like Twatkins. I imagine the only financial thing which has ever troubled Lurie was his divorce.

The Eagles waste money on stupid projects while skimping on players (see: Brian Dawkins final contract) that would add to the quality of the team.

I suspect things have gotten better since JoLo left. I would have expected JoLo to go after some of Twatkins' salary for being photographed in full uniform at a fire in Philadelphia while allegedly being injured for the Eagles. But the Eagles didn't do that. I actually would have been in favor of such an action.

When is the last time I called them cheap?

Seriously. They're spending money where everyone spends money these days: offense. The NFL is becoming arena football. So do you think they're spending enough on the defense? They hired fucking JUAN CASTILLO to be their DC. That's cheap. Whatever. You are happy with perpetual mediocrity, I am not.

Perhaps they were not cheap, per se. But I tend to look at it another way. Here's a list of Eagles, non-exhaustive, who had contractual issues with the Eagles during the Joe Banner years:

              Jeremiah Trotter
              Corey Simon
              Brian Westbrook
              Terrell Owens
              Desean Jackson
              Sheldon Brown
              Brian Dawkins
              Jon Runyan
              Asante Samuel

In other words, practically every star Eagle not named Donovan McNabb.

During the JoeLo years, it was a lot easier to make big money if you were someone else's free agent (LeCharles Bentley, Javon Kearse, Nnamdi Asamougha) then if you were alreadt an Eagle trying to sign a new contract with Joe Banner.
