As a thought exercise, I understand what you are trying to say.

Emotionally for me it just doesn't seem right that the name foreskins is allowed to exist in the NFL.

Apples and oranges. Sure, "Chief" can be a slur if you walk up to a Native American with the intent to insult them and call them chief. The name, in and of itself, isn't a slur. I've never even heard that suggested (not to say it never has been).

Redskin is offensive on its face. There is no circumstance in which it is not offensive.

You can limit it to physical characteristics but there have been native american protests at Chiefs games. Some of them don't like it.
