NFL football has become such a malleable sport, subject to the whims of the officials and the head office in New York City. Almost as bad as basketball.

Let's spot the ball there... Wait, lets spot it here.

That was an excellent tackle... No, it was an illegal hit, give them an extra 15 yards.

It was a fumble... tuck rule applies!

At least in basebore the decisions are binary. Safe or Out. Ball or Strike. So easy KG could do it if he wanted!

But even he had a hard time deciding what the call should be on the plays that ultimately gave the Jets two 15-yd penalties.

Too much in involvement by the officials

Think about. These guy decide how these games turn out. All of this money spent on players and coaches. It's all meaningless. Some gay fuckoff will throw his little yellow flag out and ruin the whole thing.

Why don't college football games come down to the last play as much as the NFL games do?

            The NFL is a business.

A very successful business at that. Huge money involved. Just think of the highlight reel from Week 1. Free marketing on every network sports report, television and radio.

Where the NFL is different than say.. soccer is that every team is in collusion with each other under the supervision of Roger Goodell. Fútboll is a big business too but the teams don't operate under some controlling umbrella. Fútbol teams are independent ententes.

If Barcelona gets rooked to the benefit of Real Madrid, I guarantee they are honestly and legitimately pissed. In the NFL, if a team gets shafted they shut up b/c it's the price of doing business in cahoots with the rest of the league.

Yup. No question. Just bend over and take it.

Look at baseball. If a team gets shafted by an umpire, they raise hell. Christ, Joe Girardi is bitching about the umpires once a week. In the NFL, you criticize an official, is $25K out of your pocket. Can't have that.
