I had the same thought. Needs to be investigated thoroughly.

There is no way to say this and be PC.

But I know of many fires in South Jersey years ago, that were suspicious, they were said to have been struck by Jewish Lightning, or Mafia lightning.

As you said, boardwalk fires in September are as predictable as the tides. I'm surprised it's taken this long for one to get so out of hand.
