This week, running two plays with 2:24 on the clock (Vick getting hurt) instead of letting the clock go down to the two minute warning.

Then calling those timeouts when SD was going to have to settle for a 49 yard field goal attempt. Maybe it wouldn't have mattered.

It probably wouldn't have mattered. Novak drilled the FG. But that was weird.

Chip seems much brighter than FF so maybe he can learn from these mistakes. Or maybe we set ourselves up for another 14 years of torture.

The question is does he recognize and correct those mistakes. If he doesn't, then he's FF.

Jackson was downed at the fifteen with 2:24 left -- and 3 time outs. I don't think another coach in the NFL would have run a play there before the 2 minute warning, especially one with a sieve of a defense like Chip has.
