  • So Reid (FF) is coming back to Philly

He is coaching a team, and a defense, which he didn't build. For Reid (FF) that is fortunate.

Chip Kelly will have the misfortune of coaching a defense which Andy did build.
    Officially awaiting Douchebagnacht II since

    National Football Post:

Perhaps this is what you're referring to ?

The 2014 offseason could be historic with all of the veteran quarterbacks currently scheduled to hit the open market.

"Apparently, an old dog (no offense, Andy Reid) actually can learn some new tricks.

After a long tenure in Philadelphia where the Eagles almost always used a four-man front, Reid has opted for a 3-4 defense in Kansas City. And some Chiefs players allow that decision, along with the hiring of Bob Sutton (with whom Reid had no work history), have permitted the unit to improve.

“Usually, a new guy means new schemes, you know, starting over and all,” said linebacker Justin Houston, who had three sacks in the Chiefs’ opening-day victory. “We’re doing some things differently, but not a lot. And the (defense) plays to our strengths.” Indeed, Reid apparently concluded early on that the strength of his defense was in a linebacker corps that includes Houston, Tamba Hali and Derrick Johnson, and chose the status quo, rather than a wholesale alteration that would have altered the dynamic.

“It’s been great,” Houston said, “to be able to do what we do best.”

Haha, the strength is the linebackers? Funny how Reid didn't care for a linebacker in Philly! Now he's benefiting from a good defense anchored by line backers...

eh, i know what you're saying but i have to give reid credit. for all of his flaws i think he is a good coach. i'm not going to sit here and talk about how great the 2-14 roster he inherited was.

you mean the one with , what six Pro Bowlers?

there is more talent on the Chefs' roster than the one he left behind for Chip.

This is no different when he inherited the 3-13 Eagles from Rhodes. That 3-13 team had a lot of talent but didn't have a QB or HC.

If I recall correctly that number includes a kicker and a linebacker who made it after some injuries. Chip inherited some pro bowlers too.

so youre telling me the talent levels are equal?

                I wouldn't say that.

Who are the Eagles pro bowlers again?

They have Jaamal Charles rated higher than Shady.
500 internet fights, that's the number I figured when I first joined igglephans. 500 internet fights and you could consider yourself a legitimate internet-tough guy. You need them for experience, to develop leather skin. So I got started. Of course along the way you stop thinking about being tough and all that. It stops being the point. You get past the silliness of it all. But then...after...you realize that's what you are.

He worked hard. He just couldn't get the big one. I think at the end he didn't know what to do.

                      that is all

                        WTF!?

                        Jamaal Charles (2008-present)
                        18 career rushing TDs
                        8 career receiving TDs

                        vs.

                        Shady (2009-present)
                        30 career rushing TDs
                        8 career receiving TDs

Have they lost their goddamn minds?

Also... Evan Mathis higher than Peters?

I like how he talks about giving up his personnel duties in KC as though it was something he was forced to do in Philadelphia. What an asshole.

Because they know he can't evaluate talent.
