He's just not close to good enough. I know a lot of people will disagree with me, but I still think he was the culprit for a lot of Nnamdi's problems last year.

While I agree that Allen absolutely sucks, let's not blame him for Asoumaugh's problems. I have watched SF's two games this year, and Aso absolutely is terrible. My one absolute memory of him was in '11 and they were playing the Giants, he let Victor Cruz get in front of him and outjump him for a pass for a TD at the Linc.

Could be. I just felt like Asomugha was always, always playing like he was playing a different defense from the safety to his side.

Maybe I'm wrong...could be that I thought there was no way a former Pro Bowler could suddenly be that clueless.

Some decent college players never transition to Big Boy Football. How many more chances can you give this guy to blossom? He looks lost and confused out there. He can't cover or tackle. The only reason I can find to keep him on this roster is that Wolff isn't quite ready yet, but that's going to change quickly. I'll live with a rookie who gets beaten a lot over a veteran who gets beaten all the time.
