Meh. If the offense didn't shit the bed for this entire game, it wouldn't be necessary.

if Vick has a better day passing, the Eagles still lose. the fuck, giving up 3rd and forever multiple times AGAIN kept the offense off the field. the defense had some better spots, but when the Eagles most desperately needed a break, the safeties started playing like cooked elephant dung.

If you honestly think that a better game from Vick would still have us losing the game, you're just looking to blame the defense. We start off the game giving up a kickoff return to midfield. Defense holds them. Then we fumble the punt inside the ten. Defense holds them to a field goal. If the defense from the first two weeks showed up today, we would have lost by at least 20, probably much more.

Don't get me wrong. This was still not a good defense, but it was vastly improved over the first two weeks and it was definitely not the reason we lost today. The fact that KC only scored 13 points off of 5 turnovers is the only reason it was even close, but take away those 13 and we won.

This loss is right on Vick's (and special teams, but mostly Vick) shoulders.

We knew they were bad and the talent level was low. They played well enough to win. Giving up essentially 20 points with this offense should be enough

Despite the culpability of Vick and the offense (and the special teams), you cannot let the same guy run the same play for first downs over and over again.

3d and 10 from the 5 (after your offense scores and you stuff a run and sack the qb), I don't give a damn how bad your offense was up to then, make the fucking play.

On that play, Davis took Curry off the field, ran a delayed blitz and, although he doubled 17, Allen sat back on the guy.

As it was, it wouldn't have made any difference because the delayed blitz that didn't get anywhere close left the back wide open on an underneath route, as he was all doing fucking day on 3d down.

And as Rivers did all fucking day Sunday.

There is no excuse for getting beat on the same motherfucking play over and over on 3d down and not coming up with a call to defend that play at the end of the game.

Particularly when it's the same shit that beat you the prior game.
