I like the occasional unexpected two point attempt going against the chart. The element of surprise should raise your odds.

But that was not a particularly good time for it. Pointwise it was largely irrelevant that early. Almost nothing to gain. More important to try to settle the team down. Play it straight.

The situation doesn't call for it IMO any time in the first half, but I agree it was particularly unnecessarily risky there because of the momentum aspect.

I just fundamentally disagree with this philosophy of just taking the points. I've wanted to see more teams go for it for a decade now.

I especially disagree with the idea that early in the game is NOT the time to take these risks. If there ever is a time not dictated by the score it's early in the game, in my opinion.
