I only watched part of it. I felt like Brian Dawkins' normal speech mode is to yell.

Yeah, the speech was a trainwreck. He tried too hard to be dramatic and it came off as insincere as all the other "right things" he says. Dawkins lead-in was an obvious Eagles ploy to nip any booing in the bud. McNabb's a decent guy but every time he talks he comes across as a knucklehead.
