49ers. After firing Singletary in 2010, the team turned the roster over by a factor of 80 percent in two years. By 2012 they were in the super bowl. And now have arguably the best roster in the NFL in 2013.

That's what needs to happen in Philly. They did begin the process albeit slower than San Fran. If they accelerate the change after 2013, by 2015 they'll be competitive again. In the meantime, don't delude yourself into thinking this roster is capable of any sustained success even if coached by the greatest minds in football.

They had some serious players in place with plenty of early first rounders. Would like to see in depth information revisited on their situation.

Tom Gamble was a part of that in San Fran

This team needs Defense no matter how they get it.

yep. But I really don't know how major a role he played in the transformation. Might have been significant. Might not have been. But he has a good rep so hopefully he'll help.

My thing is since Chip Kellly is a offensive guy how much pull does he have in the war room over Roseman? I still think the Ertz and Barkley pick were questionable.

I agree with this post, but you're underestimating how "lucky" your team must be in finding a true franchise QB. This makes all the difference in the world.

One thread you say trade Shady to get better, then this thread you say follow San Fran's model. Their best player for years was Gore, they never traded him in their rebuilding.

Edit: that was in reply to Ref, not Ground Meat
