I don't recall the refs calling a penalty

If the refs don't call a penalty on the hit, there shouldn't be any fines doled out

That's ridiculous. Just because a penalty isn't seen or called in game doesn't mean a dirty/dangerous play didn't happen.

but i think the nfl came out and said that he shouldn't have gotten a penalty for it because the player ducked his head. i think i read it on pft a week ago.

The NFL is a joke. That was a clean hit and just because the WR ducked his head down and be in the wrong position, how does that make the fault lies with the tackler?? He definitely should appeal this stupid decision

I didn't see that. If the NFL said it was clean and then fined him that's messed up. But if it's a call that's missed on the field but is found to be dangerous by the current rules I think they should still be able to fine a player.

Its a bad ruling imo. It doesn't appear to be an intentional or malicious act. Floyd lowers his head and Ryan runs into him. It doesn't even look like he tried to light him up with the hit.

Are the on pace to break a record for total amount of fines this year? Seems like there have been at least 5 every week already.
