  • Chips scheme is going to have to Grow in the NFL

So many aspects need to be tweaked...it can work,,,One thing I'm noticing is the lack of a screen game,,some may say I'm wrong, standard, not Bubble.

Also the Tights ends don't get many looks in the Chip Run heavy offense,,,we're used to WCO and the TE's getting 12 looks a game.....if the Chipper can start to make his adjustments to the pro game as we go,,I have a good feeling this team will improve in his sophomore Jump...just need to be patient.

Kelly didn't use his tailbacks in the passing game at Oregon and he's not doing it here. McCoy can't go two out of three games with one reception. While I agree it was time for Reid to go, Kelly has been very unimpressive.

Uh ... McCoy had 5 catches for 114 against the Chargers.

How about the other two games?

You mean the other two games of the three he's coached in total?

So when is a good time to criticize this coach? 2014?

Why didn't you go 2020 to make your nonexistent point after 3 games?

I figured after going 1-2 after Washington, SD, and KC would be good time to start. Why wait for the inevitable?

Shit, this place was ready to erect a statue for Chip after the first game against an rusty QB.

Like I said before, the Reid (and McNabb) hate will always be there until they find a suitable replacement. I don't think Chip is that guy. I hope I'm wrong.

De'anthony Thomas was used in the passing game quite often actually.

For the record, I'd like to see them get McCoy in space with screens and flairs more myself ... but I'm not making sweeping conclusions about Kelly's affinity to it yet, particularly when he actually used him that way in one of the 3 games.

If that turns out to be an isolated case this year, I'll be more amenable to your take.

LaMichael James and Kenjon Barner never had a season over 20 catches. The fact that they had such a high powered offense for so long makes me lean towards the side of not utilizing McCoy correctly. He shouldn't be tracking for 32 receptions this year. He's too good.

For the record, I wish Banner would have taken the 'tank the season' strategy a few years ago when Andrew Luck was in play. Chip is fucked regardless with this team.

I read a story that they were targeting, but thought Russell Wilson would be around when they picked in the third so they took Kendricks and Curry in the 2d instead.

Wouldn't mind watching Kelly's offense with Wilson running it.

I'll also add that the Eagles tried at least one screen to McCoy in the last game but the play was blown up. Also, that controversial Kerrigan play against Washington was a flair to McCoy.
So it's not like Kelley's system is devoid of these plays.

I'm pretty confident those two plays were the only other targets he has outside of those six completions. Eight targets is still not enough.
