where "the eagles should have won that game"? Where did they outplay the chiefs? They have turned the ball over more than anyone since '11. Thursday night wasn't some aberration, it's been the m.o. of this offense.

The Chiefs weren't ... the Eagles kept making unforced errors.

NO there's nothing clear about it all because what you described has been what this group has done for the last 2 years. They turn the ball over and make unforced mistakes, that's who they are, that is the identity they have built for themselves, maybe you're sitting to close to see the big picture. The Eagles aren't better than the chiefs in any measurable way other than turning the ball over. How you can see the Eagles being better than the chiefs is beyond a stretch. Just because you got an eerie feeling sitting in the linc doesn't lend any fact to what you are suggesting, were your glasses blocking out the part where poe and hali and Houston etc destroyed the eagles up front?

All cockiness aside (and I apologize Mr. Slag I didn't mean to come off as strongly as it appears -just reread it, maybe I need a glass of cranberry juice) the problems you just described are the same problems every bad team has. Everyone has a few pieces to build but the bad teams are weak at qb or defense. They are not as good in some areas as we thought they would be and they might actually be worse in places we knew they were bad. This team has absolutely taken on Vick's identity (and I'm not a Vick hater, he is just not efficient). They absolutely wow me at times and then they drop the ball (literally) and make those crushing killer stupid plays. Vick draws you back in but it's a mirage. It's just a matter of time until he makes a bad choice or holds the ball and gets nailed etc etc. They are constantly walking a tightrope of brilliance and putridness all the time, and it is a total reflection of the quarterback. There is no chance of sustaining success over a long enough period of time to even matter in this league.

Yeah....I agree. Like I don't really think that foles or barkley is the answer....but even more I think Vick isn't worth the time that could be given to foles or barkley to 100% rule them out. If the go rookie next year... that means they are at least two more years away.
