  • The main reason I love Desean Jackson

Is he kicks the shit out of the Vagiants time and time again. He's killed the Foreskins and the Cowboys plenty too, but he specializes in embarrassing the Vagiants.

Desean Fun Fact: the Eagles have never lost an away game to the Vagiants when Desean has played -- 6-0 including playoffs. He always sends their fans home bummed out. I cherish that.

Yep. I feel like he's one of the few guys that really get in to the rivalry.

And I'm no fan of TD celebrations, but his salsa mock and boot was a thing of beauty

I have no problems with the celebrations either. Let the kid has his fun.

I've never understood the Desean haters here and elsewhere complaining about a guy who is so, so much better at his position than any other Eagle with the exeception of McCoy. It's not his fault that the Titanic* Trinity of (1) Joe Banner, who dicked around with him over his contract, (2) Andy Reid, who refused to make any real effort to get the ball into his hands in space the last two years, and (3) Kevin Klob, who got him concussed, set him back until Chip set him free.

                * as in hitting the obvious obstacle and sinking

In fact, I think that given a opportunity to choose any Eagle for their rosters, considering the way the game is played these days, more teams would choose Desean over Lesean (and no one else being considered).

When you watch pro sports live there are some players that can do shit that make you glad you actually get the opportunity to watch them live.

                    He's one of those guys.

Said it before, will say it again, there have been times when he's running and I think I'm watching a cartoon.

How many wide receivers in the NFL could do this? With a bum ankle? How many would even think to try? How many would even turn it up field instead of going out of bounds?

The thing is, Jackson's not just a speedster like Wallace. He's actually a good route runner and has great hands. I think that gets overlooked sometimes.

I don't think there's another receiver in the league with his combination of speed and technical ability. There might be some guys with similar 40 times, but Jackson actually plays to his speed.

                          Here's a cartoon.

Plenty of kicking of NFC Least ass, but some jawdroppers against Kansas City, Detroit, and New Orleans too.

Anytime he gets the ball in space, he's looking to take it all the way to the house. Really there are very few receivers who have that inclination, never mind the God-given talent to do it. He (and T.O. was the same way) looks for a path to the end zone. Thing is the defensive backs know it as well, which terrifies them when he catches the ball.

I was thinking about how much I want to see him do that again next week
