I'm still not sold on Foles as a great starting QB

A mobile QB with a higher completion percetage then vick. Having legs does not matter when you are close to a 50% passer

Through 4.5 games vick has 5 td's passing and rushing, through 1.5 games foles has 6 (7 if you count the garbage td vs the broncos). That is a little telling to me considering the bane of the offense was getting td's.

Yes you said to start foles. But you are also keep saying things like 9ers went to a mobile QB as if it relates to Vick. But its apples and oranges. Vick is not a good passer. You need your qb to be able to do more then run or else someone would sign Usain Bolt to be their QB.

No, I said it as it relates to Foles versus some of the kids coming out of college. Kelly will find someone next season who can throw and run. If mobility wasn't important to him Vick wouldn't have been made the starter.

Vick passed well in the preseason also.

He showed the stronger arm.

It wasn't his mobility alone.

Foles showed pretty well in the preseason, but the arm strength and mobility of Vick, and probably his experience, tipped the scales.

Vick has since regressed since the first game and Foles has been better passing the ball.

This offense does not need a qb that runs.

Vick has only run a handful of times as a designed play.

The threat to run is useful. Vick ran a bunch in the Giants game. Kelly doesn't need a QB who can run but I'm sure he prefers it. He likes to mix it up.

The Eagles probably should have released Vick. He could be an issue if he's benched since he hasn't played that badly. Rich Hoffman says they have to play him if he's healthy or there'll be trouble in the locker room.
