I just didn't see it that way and I'm still trying to process what I watched (I'm actually talking it out in this thread lol). Dallas didn't force the missed throws. He got hit some sure, but for the most part he just missed a ton of makeable throws that he is supposed to make. He is supposed to be the quick read, ball out fast, accurate guy. Maybe he got it in his head that he was going to play hero ball? I honestly don't know but whatever it was, was possibly the worst game in recent memory. 38 percent completion is inexcusable against anyone let alone that defense.

I'm in the same boat as you....like... how? I know other people were saying he was awful... and yeah... today makes it hard to say that he's not... but he was missing passes that he even made last year. He dinked and dunked and was at least okay at it....but christ he was awful.

He was pressing at that point. The avant pass in the endzone drove me nuts. He had plenty of time to set and throw and mcnabbed it.

He didnt press one bit. He never tried to make something out of anything. He was pure chickenshit, plain and simple.

The ONLY positive you can draw from this is that he played decent in the shadow of his own endzone.

He can manage the game well and that is a decent attribute for a backup qb. But don't confuse yourself. A backup is all this guy will ever be.

I would like Mariota because he APPEARS to be what the Eagles need. A younger, solid QB with "Vick" like skills.

and if that means we gotta see Matt Barkley "Tebow" his way through the rest of the season that's OK with me.
