I took my daughter to the first home preseason game maybe four, five years ago. The field looked like shit before they'd even played a game on it -- bare brown patches, chunks coming up. Temple is a convenient excuse. Only Lurie could build a new stadium and install the B, C, and J of playing surfaces.

I place the blame squarely on the fairly assed fans

and KG of course. Really though Lurie has made every decision a painful awkward drama in regards to the Eagles since owning the team. Any memories of the Vet has to be prefaced as it was a dump for years yet as we get older we look back as it being the glory years, like a first girlfriend.
I spoke to IG about this last week how Lurie just does not get Philadelphia and its apparent in everything he does. All we want is a team we can bleed with week in and week out. A hard scrabble, tries to be the best it can be, without having to tell us what it is doing.

As far as the 10 years at the Linc only the 2004 championship can be looked back fondly. too much heartache in a very short time and the structure itself causes division. the Upper deck which is the heart and soul of the fandom has been separated for 10 years and only the push to bid for a Superbowl and add more seating is the upper level going to be connected and the bowl closed in.
