With our different work schedules (she's into the office at 8 AM, my day starts when school lets out nine months of the year), we don't have many chances to go to the movies as much as we would like. We also like different kinds of movies -- agreeing on one isn't always easy.

not usually. i can't handle that shit. but, my wife and neighbors shamed me into last sunday. we bought it off amazon.com instant and watched it sunday night. they had to give me some xanax (no bullshit) before it started to make me sit through it.
it was excellent. not as scary as i thought it would be. very well done. you should watch it.
Don't give me any bullshit about being in the dark about cause for my anger. ANYBODY who continues to bring it up will get more of the same. YOU'RE making light of my late wife -- I fire back in kind!

Here's where your limited comedy tastes come in to play.
For myself, and any other poster who brings it up, the punch line isn't that your wife passed away, no one would ever joke about that. The punch line is how irrationally upset you get when being called a fan of another football team. You just keep getting angrier and angrier about a dumb joke about football fandom.
You know why Lucy keeps pulling the ball away when Charlie Brown goes to kick it? It's because he keeps falling for it.
