  • Did the rule change for forward pass past the LOS?

It used to be as long as any part of the QB was behind it was fine (I remember Eli used to be the poster boy for this rule against the Eagles).

Yesterday Foles pass, even though it was backward, wasn't even close to being fully over the LOS with his body yet they didn't even hesitate to throw the flag right away.

    They picked it up, though.

But the reason they picked it up was b/c it was a backward pass.

Was just wondering if it had changed b/c what the shitty D team announcers discussed was not my understanding of the rule.

Chris Myers was terrible yesterday--no wonder they relegated him to about the 6th announcing pairing. That play was one they ran against the Pats in the preseason, I wondered when they were going to bring it out.

They called offensive PI, but picked up the flag because it was a lateral and therefore not a pass. At least I think.
