You have to know the rules. Once the Packers touched the ball, the Eagles get a free opportunity. Doesn't matter if you fumble it. The ball is dead at the spot of the first touch. But if Anderson picked it up and ran for 20-30 yards, it would be at the spot Anderson ended.

Once the kicking team touches the ball the receiving team can pick it up with no possible chane of a turnover. If he fumbles it goes back to the original spot. One of the first things our HS coach taught us. In this case no risk and a chance to gain free yars. Smart play.
