PS - Donovan McNabb is going to get serious consideration for the Hall of Fame.

If that debate lasts longer than 3 minutes I'll be very surprised.

With regards to Elway ...he wins nothing without Terrell Davis. He only completed 12 passes for 123 yards in the Super Bowl vs GB. Davis ran for 157 on 30+ carries and 3 TDs

The image and memory of Elway's previous greatness played a much bigger role than his actual play that day.

Elway was in the Twilight of his career

Td was amazing for about 4 years...Im very Happy for John,,,he managed the game Like the Champion he is...Davis Does not diminish the 12 years Elway Carried that Franchise,,,John was Awesome...If you ever meet him ask him about TD and his rings..

Detmer and Feeley led the team to the playoffs in the same season. Detmer had 3/4 of a good game and then Feeley finished the year. That's one season that mediocre QBs took the team to the playoffs.

I don't know if I would use Garcia as an example of a mediocre at best QB having success. He was a little long in the tooth, but Garcia was a very good starting QB in the league and came in and caught fire. Sure, he was the backup for the Eagles, but he could have still been a starter for a lot of other teams. This is evident by the fact that Tampa signed him in the offseason and he took them to the playoffs.

Elway is in the HOF and he certainly deserves it
(despite the cheating that took place during his SB run)

Davis didn't have enough longevity to make it in but he sure had a hell of a run for a few years in Denver

I don't really want to get into a discussion of Elway and the impact of Davis, who I'm sure benefited from not having as many in the box to run against because Elway was the guy handing him the ball.

The original point is that McNabb was not carried by Westbrook.

McNabb was the key player on the Eagles offense and that does not mean that I don't recognize it's a team game ... in fact, I probably recognize it more than those who poo poo McNabb's potential HOF status.

If Jim Kelly's in the HOF, McNabb should be.

Because if Boomer Esiason and Drew Bledsoe doesn't get in McNabb isn't getting in either.

What if he had been honest with Kelly BEFORE the 2nd Giants game so they could have given Barkley all the starters' snaps in that week?

What if Foles had been honest about his concussion before the Dallas game?

Actually everything Vick has said has been totally cool so I dont know why he's a hot topic. He even said he thought Foles would be a franchise quarterback. I think people underestimate the effect a couple years in the slammer and going bankrupt had on him. The guy has become a solid citizen.
