From NFL.com's Inside the NFL ... after Foles is quoted saying that more playing time is getting him to where he's playing more by feel and not thinking so much, Jason Avant is quoted:

"Nick, he sees the field, and on some of the routes you normally don't get the ball on, guys are getting the ball on those. So it's different, from a preparation standpoint, from a mentality standpoint. You're always alive and that's what you want." The easy translation: Foles is going deeper into his reads than Michael Vick had been, which is an awfully good sign of progress for such a young signal-caller.

riley cooper is a 2 or 3 wr. anybody with eyes can see that. hes gotten some favorable matchups in a couple games because of djax and kelly's scheme but any good corner in the league will erase him. if cooper was gone, jeff maehl would easily fill the spot.

Of course it helps that he can actually see over the LOS. But last year, when Foles was forced to play, he went to Cooper an awful lot in those games.

Cooper has looked horrible with a Vick and like a star with Foles. I think until we see him play with Foles or a quality QB for a whilel we cant say what Cooper truly is.

He likely isn't a #1 but he has a few weeks now that make him look like he could be. Chances are he will be a #2 or #3 but I am not willing to say it definitively until I see more.

I can not say if there is any scouts in the NFL that think he can be a #1. Even if there aren't scouts routinely get it wrong.

That said I doubt he can be a #1 but im not willing to right every player in the league off if they have a bad game or a series of bad games they way you are. I am willing to watch what happens enjoy the ride if they are doing good and see what they turn out to be.

Every scout in the NFL has a huge list of people who they thought would be stars and were wrong about about and a list of players who they did not think were going to be good who became stars. If the Scouts who get paid to make these decisions are wrong so often I would be a fool to think I could do it better. Yet somehow you seem to know what every players ceiling is and if they can ever be a starter in this league.
