I had the FF pegged from his very first game as someone who had a hard time thinking on his feet. In 14 seasons he never really improved.

I see Chip as, like the FF, a highly organized and prepared coach who's game day coaching leaves something to be desired. I felt this way about Chip at Oregon; whenever a team stood up to Oregon toe to toe, Chip had a notable lack of flexibility. I keep hearing he will learn. The FF didn't. So I'm reserving on Chip right now. No question he's done much right and is a breath of fresh air. But, still, some of the shit ....
