thanks guys for the luck. deer activity is very slow. even in Pa,va, wva, oh,nj,. i think it has to do with the moon and change of temps. so anyways the deer are sitting tight, and zubaz underwear is getting ripe.
Wisconsin hunt was down 20% from last year in terms of registered deer
Opening weekend was cold - only 2 degrees in the woods and apparently quite a few hunters skipped out waiting for warmer days
They also re-introduced wolves into northern WI and Upper MI and those packs took down a lot of deer...We saw only a few deer opening weekend, very anemic compared to years past
Don't know the impact on deer populations but coyotes are becoming a real problem, too. Big packs of them are out there
They love the fawns, but rarely go after an adult as far as I've heard. The wolves have taken way more deer than the DNR planned on...some hunters are grumbling.
