  • Should I loathe the FF so much I root for the Foreskins?

    I think, this week, yes.

    No. hell no.

    Don't you do it, dammit.

The incentives are a non-factor, why not? Then again, I think I'll root for that shit show to get as bad as possible, it's really enjoyable.

Tough call but if the foreskins win at least it will drop them down in the draft order. Not that they have a first round pick.

I think I'll defer to the Walking Barrel of Acid on this one.

Root for a tie. See if Andy punts with 1:22 left again.

I guess its alright. the Foreskins aren't going anywhere and I would dearly love to see the FF lose out after the 9-0 start.

FWIW - the Eagles finished 9-6-1 that year and made it into the playoffs over 3 teams that finished 9-7.

So you think it was the right call? It worked that year but you think that's the best decision the other 9 out of 10 times?

It was 4th down on their own 22. Going for it and missing would have likely sealed the deal by giving the Bengals excellent field position as they only needed to kick a field goal.

The punt pushed the Bengals out of field goal range to their own 41 yard line.

The Eagles defense let get close enough to try a kick again, but the punt did the purpose of not giving up the easy score and made the kick harder.

                          ABSO-FUCKING-LUTELY YES!

Let's throw the foreskins a bone, the world's #1 shit franchise.

As much as I enjoyed the Iggles victory last week, I enjoyed that fat piece of shit's loss just as much.

I abhor the fact that the sports idiot talking heads still regard that incompetent prick as a very good coach. Nothing could be further from the truth, but it seems only those who suffered with this guy in Philadelphia are truly aware of it.

I get what you're saying, and it worked out for them that time that it didn't affect making the playoffs, but in general, I'd rather play for the win and risk a loss than lay up for the tie.

Then again, McNabb was so bad in that game, they weren't going to get any points even if they did go for it, make it on 4th or not.

If it was on the other side of the field or even at a distance where the Bengals kicker had to hit a 50-yarder assuming the defense holds - then yes, go for it. I prefer teams to go for it most of the time.

But in that situation, their best chance was to get the Bengals out of field goal range and salvage a tie rather hand them a high probability of winning.

Overall, it wasn't an impressive game and the Eagles still got lucky that year to get into the playoffs. But that specific call I don't think was too terrible.
