I know Foles has gotten pretty good national coverage and the cover of SI(I believe it was a regional cover, but still) and all of that...but imagine if he was on one of the glamour teams like Dallas, New England, the New York teams, Green Bay, etc...
If some unheralded middle round draft choice came on halfway through the season for one of those teams and went 7-1 as a starter while only putting up some of the best stats in NFL history for a QB.
His #s are much better than what Luck, Griffin, Wilson, and Kaepernick put up last year. Better than what they'd done this year as well.
If he was on the Pats or Cowboys ESPN would have already turned him into a national phenomenon with his own reporter trailing him like Ed Werder used to do for Brett Favre.
In a way I guess it's better for the team. Foles just has to continue to play well and earn it on the field. Joe Flacco was never a national star or anything like that but I doubt he really cares. He has more rings over the past five seasons than Brady, Peyton, and Romo combined.
I think Foles can definitely be as good as Flacco. If he can lead a team to a title so can Foles.
Maybe if he has another Bears/Raiders like game tomorrow night on national tv, the coverage will come heading into the playoffs
